First Lady

Barbara J. McKinney is a native of Wichita Kansas. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Kansas State University with a major in Sociology and Psychology. Her Masters in Public Administration was received from the University of Missouri. She received her Juris Doctor Degree from Notre Dame Law School, Notre Dame University. She has been a practicing attorney for 28 years.

She is the first woman to be elected to the Judiciary Board of the Church of God In Christ, Inc., which is the Supreme Judicial body of the National Church. She also served as a Municipal Court Judge in the State of Texas

Mrs. McKinney is married to Bishop George Dallas McKinney, the Sr. Pastor of the St. Stephen’s Cathedral Church of God In Christ in San Diego, California.

She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Links Incorporated.

Her youngest son, Louie, is a student at Hampton University. She and Bishop McKinney have a total of six sons, George, Gregory, Grant, Gordon, Glenn, and Louie.
