Evangelist Wendy McKinney
Sis. Wendy McKinney is an influential motivational speaker, ingenious teacher, anointed preacher, cutting edge entrepreneur, and a “Spiritual Cheerleader” that genuinely loves to see God’s people fulfilling their purpose and achieving their destiny.
As the wife of the Executive Pastor of St. Stephen’s Cathedral Church of God in Christ, Elder George Anthony McKinney, of 17 years, Sis. Wendy has truly learned to submit to her husband in ministry and in love. Sis. Wendy followed her husband’s ministerial journey that exposed them to various areas of ministry to include Women, Youth, Children, Married Couples, Prison, Homeless, Church Administration, Music, Pastoral Support, Ministry Training & Development, Leadership Training, Stewardship, and Economic Development. After several years in the field they were led to St. Stephen’s where Sis. Wendy now serves as the President of the Women’s Department and the Assistant Church Administrator, under the leadership of Bishop George Dallas McKinney, Jr., Founder and Senior Pastor.
Sis. Wendy has an innate love for ministry and her greatest passion is to assist those in need. She especially delights in seeing women of all ages reach their maximum potential in Christ, as well as bridge the divide in the family, while directing them to God’s word. One of her greatest goals is to infect others with the abundant love that the Lord has bestowed upon her.
Sis. Wendy spent over 17 years in Corporate America in Financial Services and Investments and currently offers services as a Financial Advisor for Citigroup Smith Barney.
Sis. Wendy has been blessed with two sons, Dallas and Tyler, and a daughter Kirsten. She loves spending time with her family, studying the word of God, and having quiet time with the Lord. She also enjoys traveling, investing in business opportunities, and event planning. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).
After participating in and completing 26.2 miles in her 2nd race in the Los Angeles Marathon, she was reminded of her life-long goal in Philippians 3:13-14, Brethren I do not count myself to have apprehended, but one thing I do, forgetting those things, which are behind, and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
